Can we trust the VSC rep?

I talked to VSC rep this morning, In response to my request to expedite the case, she said case is already with adjudicator there no higher level of expedition.. also she said I should expect the approval within 15 days..

Any idea..?can we trust these guys..?

Even if u trust or not, it's not going to change anything.

You can't do anything else other than wait

I am trying to write expedite request thats why i asked the question.. if anyone had similar exp and got approved...pls post the details..

If I were you I would wait. I know it may seem like a long time, but beleive me Dec 2003 is not that long to be waiting from. I would give it a few more months before losing patience.

Ofcourse, everyman does what he sees as best, and so the final call is yours.
 
May I ask why did you request to expedite your request ??

trying to get it approved asap

I have an issue at work.. so trying to find possible way to get the GC ASAP.. btw whats stopping them from approving my case... my PD 08/30/2001...and FP is complete.. i do not want to hear the name check bs from these idiots...its crazy when people like me who started gc in 2001 still waiting when they approve case where it started whole process in late 2003..

guys no offends to people who is approved.. just blaming the system and the way it works..

I was told by the VSC rep that my case was approved, and two days later the status did change to approved. I think they know what they are saying and they should be giving you correct information.
 
VSC "rep" is actually USCIS Officer

When I called VSC last week, the lady on the other side of the phone identified herself as Officer XXXXX.

However, she would not give me any information on my case, as they are there only to solve major problems and my case is pending for 12 months only :))

This VSC officer seems to be really very well-connected. Throwing a 30-60 day wait period was slowly getting into our system. Now this 15 day wait is realy cool. How is he able to narrow this down to ultra-lower single digit weeks wait time...??? Either this guy has managed to really leak inside information to you or he picked a number...!!

But, did you get his details dude? I also would like to chat with this one!!

I do hope that you get your approval even earlier than that as you are waiting since 2001.

I don't want to disappoint anybody here, but my experience with the VSC rep was bad. When I called last month, I was told that all my securities are cleared and my application is in the adjudicating areas and it will be cleared soon, but with in two days, my congressman told me that my application is pending because of security checks blah..blah..blah.

So its again part of the same luck scenario and whoever is lucky will gets their GC's first, because one of my collegue who applied his I485 in Feb 04 got his approval last week.
 
I did not contact through the phone since my dates are not beyond the current processing dates. But i got the information through Congressional enquiry. Atleast there is a girl down in the senator's office who i know is helping me out to get the status. :rolleyes:
 
Question : how are you able to call them when your processing dates are not near the current processing dates ? Do they really respond even if the processing dates are not closer ?

Can I make a senator/congressman inquiry into my case ??? I am from Northern Virgina area and my priority date is Dec 2001

Any links/info to get me started with this ??

First we had severe problems reaching VSC IOs. Now that we have learnt/devised a way to effectively use the USCIS phone system, I would not be surprised when we start asking for our favourite VSC Officers based on their response archive DB maintained by our fellow friends:
1) Call 1-800-NUMBER.
2) Greet VSC Officer.
3) Ask: "Its not you Honey, It is Dick that I want."

How did you get them to give you any answer as your RD is not beyond their published processing date? I called them last week and they would not give me any answer other than to repeat what I see online which is 'your FP were received and procesing has resumed on your case'.

try this site and get the information about the congressman. http://www.house.gov/
Find the name of the senator from your place and get his/her official site and they have something called constituency services. Send them the fax and then call them. They usually help and they can give you faster information than the Call centre. I had an RFE before and my stupid attorney did not even send it out to me, but the senator's office helped me out in finding the status and the RFE.
But again, your mileage and your location may vary.

it depends on who u talk to

I talked to more then three different reps .. first two said outright that i am not suppose to use this line.. its for complext case,etc

another lady asked me to wait for another 30 day..what made me curious is the answer i got from her.. I told her that I received response from VSC that my case is pending due to delay in secutiry clearance on 11/04.... and futhur my enquiry to FBI revealed that its all clear. So I am trying to find out way to expedite my case if there is way ?

after 2-3 minute pause she came back and said u can expedite more that what is already done... it is upto the officer to make the decision.. so i asked is someone looking at my case ? I mean is it given to the adjudicator? She said yes.. wait for another.............(pause) 15 days to get your results...

Note: she did not say anything about approval .. she just said wait for another 15 days..

usualy these * say 30 days... i guess she was in good mood to say 15 days.l. anyway guys I dont know.. just wanted to find out if someone had similar experience ... Thansk guys
