You can do both. However KCC has only one file for you. If you do CP and your country's embassy ask for your file then KCC will not have one to give to BCIS for AOS. You will create a conflict. I called KCC and verified this information. You also may want to call them and ask. If they tell you somethng different, please let me know too.
