Can We All Weigh In On This Please!

In my experince most good attornys will require a retainer of 10hrs @ 250/hr and what you are being changed is reasonable. Most WOMs do not take more than 10hrs EXCEPT is case goes to trial and court appearance is required. Then it may cost more at the attorney hourly rates.

if a case is denied how long before a person can reapply after the appeal is it 2 years correct me if im wrong?

Worried,
If its for residenct issues etc then it is whenever you are eligible 1 month, 2 years, whenever. But if it is for Good moral character then its 5 years from the date of the event that caused a problem.

Denial for lack of good oral character is an extreeme measure and typically more than one factor is involved. Typically (but not necessarily) before denial they would ask for N14, request for more info. Also a denial has to be signed by the District Director and the DAO has to make a strong case to the supervisor for the denial according to the adjudicators manual. Simply filing a law suit is not grounds for denial because after a law suit everyone have to be real careful of why and what is done to the application since the judge may want to know about it, if one files to challenge the denial in federal court.

I hope you get an answer soon. I will pray for you. I understand that you need to be over with it, not seing your mom for 7 years is heartbraking. I just think it is unfair that some of us has to go through this nonsense and years of waiting with no answer. Why don't they just check our background and be done with it:confused: Anyway I am like you I don't have the courage to file on my own and I am afraid to make some mistakes. I will have to hire the attorney. I have an appointment with her Wednesday!!
soebelle,

if u have the time check the blog here on how to file pro se or on ur own , they are alot of good people that can help u

in my case i dont have the time or the courage to file by myself so thats why i hired an attorney trust me im not wealthy or even close to being so but my peace of mind thru settling this is worth every dime i spend , i just need an answer . i have a great oppurtunity with a goverment job and the delay is my citizenshipp and i also want to petition to bring my mom here as she lives back home alone and shes old and her health is detartiating i want her to come here and live with me and my husband , she lives in a country on the verge of a civil war and i dont want this to trouble me any longer all i want is my citizenship, i have every right to it i pay taxes and work everyday ive never been in trouble with the law or did any thing wrong in my life to be trated like a criminal,we have to know this is the united states a country of laws and the right will prevail. keep ur head high and definetly start thinking about a lawsuit , ur case is way overdue and they should do something for you.

dont sit their and dont listen to anyone that say for you to wait u have waited long enough 2005 please give me a break.

im praying that God will help me win my case and prevail so i can reunite with my mother after 7 years and be able to prosper career wise.

My name check was stuck and took long to clear. As soon as NC cleared I got oath letter. For14447b cases district is not important except if you are in 5th crcuit. In others AUSA is expediting checks ad trying to resolve the case.
