Hi Guys,

My first H1 expired on June 15, 2000. The second H1 has a Receipt Date of June 17, 2000. Will this be a problem when i apply for I485? There is a gap of one day between these two H1's. Can any one suggest any ways to overcome this?
thanks in advance for your time

You may end up paying $1000 for that error. Add same amount for each dependent.

Absolutely not, and any attorney who suggests that you pay the 245i fine deserves to be disbarred.

This is exactly the situation that 245k relief is for; minor violations of status. USCIS shouldn't even raise an issue, and even if they do you should merely claim relief under 245k, since you were out of status for less than 180 days.

I don't think you should stress about this, if they would have had problems, they would not have extended it at first place.
