Can this cause a 485 query/rejection?

My LC was filed in Portsmouth, NH thru a consulting company which has one of its regional offices there. I am working for the same company in the tristate area (NY/NJ/Connecticut).

My LC was approved and so was my I-140. Is there a possibility that my I-485 will raise a query or rejection because I am not working in the same place where my LC was filed?

I presume that almost all consulting companies will be in the same situation. Any insight into how they deal with this will be very helpful - Thanks!!!

If that was the case, you would've seen a heck lot of rejection cases in this forum...Including my application.

I was in Minneapolis, when my LC and I140 was filed. My consulting company filed the same from Philadelphia. I was in the Boston area when I filed Ac21 and eventually when i got the I485 approved.

Remember GC is for a future job and continuation of job.
Its a rule one time (Don't know about that now) that i read that all consulting companies must apply from their Head office .
Usually they will mention the place where there are located.

Hakunna Matata. (No worries) :p

pv1976, that is very reassuring to know! But, what if they call me for an interview? Would they still consider this as a future job and look at the intention to work in NH after GC is obtained?

Now, it depends on the LC which your consulting company has filed. Normally (almost 99% of them) wont file an LC with geographic limitations. Only if the LC was filed for a particular city/state, then you are bound to that place.
Check with your consulting company or check the copy of the LC filed. If there is no geographic restrictions mentioned in the LC, then you are OK.

Did you file AC21 with USCIS or just used it to change jobs, did you get an rfe

---not sure if i understood your question correctly. AC21 is used to change jobs while your AOS application is pending, and you are expected to inform USCIS that you've changed jobs under AC21.

And yes..I did change jobs using AC21 and I did inform USCIS that I've done the same.
