All.,

We all know that the Visa numbers were allready assigned to the existing pending applications. and USCIS dont have any numbers any more.

But my questions is all the applications pending with the officers, can they approve in short span of time of first two weeks.

Does any one know how much time it takes to approve the case , once the case is in IO bucket..or they going to do...

UPDATE 485_APPLICATION SET STATUS ='APPROVED' , NEXT_STATUS = 'CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED'

I am not just trying to be funny hear, just want to estimate how much time it takes to approve all the pending cases in the bucket.

Statistics
Visa Number's : 40,000
Service Centers : 2
Counsular Processing : 1
Distribution
Average each center 10K = 30K total
August/September. = 10K

Some one said, they have 100 IO officer for adjudication, So each person should complete 100 Applicants in two weeks.

My question is can they do that..?

Nope, USCIS can never do that.....

If they could have done that....the backlog would have never built up in the last 10 years....The very reason why the backlog built up was because of USCIS capacity limits (of handling/processing applications)....

Facts:
- They are not able to issue receipt notices for H1B applications - Hee Hee - If they can't issue receipt notices in time, how can they issue approval notices, in time?

That is correct. Have the same feeling. They are consistent in their inconsistent.

But if they can not approve all the pending cases in next one month or before the retro kicks in...Then even though they assigned the visa numbers to pending applications they can not approve the cases if they put the retrogation..that is the law.

NOW THEY HAVE TO APPROVE THE CASES BEFORE THEY PUT THE RETROGATION TO UTILIZE THOSE NUMBERS BEFORE THE END OF THIS YEAR QUOTA

For argument sake, let's assume they have the capacity to do that...

even then, there are another 40000 people waiting to apply with substitute labors from 98 - 99, pretty much the year they were in 7th / 8th grade...and of course there work experience shows that they were working for xyz inc...

so, there cases would get approved before us...and the backlog continues...
