Can spouse file for I-485 for principal J1 (waiver)

Hi,
Here is a situation I could get some help on:
I am pursuing a J1 waiver on H1B status. My wife, who was on J2 earlier is now awaiting an NIW approval. She has also filed I-485 for me based on her NIW as her dependent. Will this be a problem for my GC application?
