Can spouse continue STUDY, H4 expiring, 485 in progress, EAD approved?

My wife is doing her MS.. Her H4 (my H1) expires in October 2002. On an H4 she is eligible to study. But after H4 expiry, is she still eligible to study based on the fact that her 485 has been applied for and she has an EAD/parole? My understanding is I cannot apply for an H1 extension is I have applied for 485, right.
So what are the options available to her?
 
You don\'t need H4

I am in the same boat(actually expired). Lawyer told me that she is legal as she has EAD.

Check with your lawyer again.
 
my lawyer suggested to extend H1B

she investigated and confirmed EAD only allows job, not study..
school is also adamant that EAD is insufficient for study.
will keep investigating..
