CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME ??? LC applicant.

Hi All,
Can someone help me understand what the following means. This is what i received from my lawyer on JAN 16th '02 when I enquired about my LC application.
Where do i look for current status/processing times for the DOL in CALIFORNIA ?

"On 01/14/2002, we received notice that your labor certification application was forwarded to the Department of Labor on 01/09/2002. The DOL is currently processing cases received on or before October 2001."

DOL processing OCTOBER applications.
