Can somebody help me please regarding EAD application!!!!

Some body who has filed EAD application by himself/herself please tell me that what should be the eligibility category for my EAD renewal. I am was on H1 B visa. Should it be (c)(17)(i) or (C)(17)(ii) or something else? Also, it asks for the evidence here...........but no one ever mentioned about any such evidence to be sent for EAD renewal.

I am guessing: you were on H1B and have filed for 485- Adjustment of status after I140 approval.

Look on Page 4 of the form 1-765 for the category. You should fill C(9).
As evidence enclose
a copy of 485 receipt,
Original mailer of your previous EAD card,
a copy of EAD card front and back,
a copy of I94 (if you have) and
a copy of I140 approval.
Don't forget two adit style pictures with A# and name written lightly with pencil on back.

It is (C) (0) (9) for almost 485 filers.
 
I mailed the following docs in this order :

1) Check( Write you A# number)
2) Two ADITS style pics (Write your A# with pencil),
3) I-765 application
4) Mailer from previous EAD
5) Copy of your EAD card(front and back)
6) Copy of 485 receipt
7) Copy of I-94
8) Copy of passport

How did you come up with (c)(0)(9), the instructions in the PDF say (c)(9) the last bracket seems to use roman numerals.

Sorry if it seems I am nitpicking but just thought I would ask.


Also in the "previous EADs" section do you include you student EAD info too (practical training)?

I'm doing the same amd not sure about the fee. On INS site is 88$
but inside downloaded instruction is 130$
What should I pay then?

You're right arun_parv, it should be (c)(9)( ) and not (c)(0)(9).
 
Arun Sir,
I did what my attorney did in my previous EAD application, I had a copy of it, so when I filled it out this time for renewal I inherited all the relevant information from my old application.
I hope that helps !!!
 
(c)(9) or (c)(0)(9)
it is not a big deal. Either will work.

Actually, when you get the receipt notice for the EAD
there is a line "Class requested " and it will say "C09"
