Can Part time H1B work fulltime?

Hi,
My new employer (I am tranferring my H1B from previous employer) says that he can employ me only part time (20 hrs a week) and due to that, is willing only to process a part time H1B visa. But in the future, I may get projects which would require me to work full time (40 hrs).

So, my question is if I get a part time H1B status processed, do I need to change that to full time before I can work 40 hrs or can I just start working without changing my status?

One more question. If I get a part time status (like 20 hrs a week), would it be a problem to come back into the states after a vacation in India? Any previous bad experiences with this? Or solutions on how to handle something like this would be helpful.

There is not part-time or full-time H1B. If you wanted work for somebody, they should sponsor H1B. In your case, you can work any number of hours to your employer.

This what I know since last time I applied my H1B through X company 2 year back
