If your wife is the primary, then your case can be delayed, since your case is dependant on her's getting approved.
If you are the primary, then your case should not be delayed.
They always approve the primary first, while in many instances it seems as if they approved them at the same time, it is a matter of minutes, semantics really, but the primary is still first. In some cases its not a matter of minutes, but a matter of months. In my specific case, my case (primary case) has been transferred to the local office for an interview, while my spouse (dependant case), is still in TSC.
