Can one go ahead of scheduled FP date?

Hi All,
In some posts I see people\'s scheduled and actual FP
dates different.

What is the process of going for FP before the scheduled
date that appears on the FP notice? Does it help in
expediting the 485 approval?

I would appreciate information on this process.

Do they ask the reason why you want it done earlier?

And how does one go about it?
Do you call and get an appointment or do you just
show up there with the notice?

You just go there and appear. They normally
do not ask any questions. I got my FP notice
yesterday and got it done today.
