Can my spouse visit me in the US for a short duration on B visa

Hi,
I am on H-1B visa and recently got married to an Indian citizen who holds a tourist visa for the US. Can she visit me for 4-5 months for now and later apply for H4 visa once she goes back to India. Are there any immigration issues in this case?
 
This plan is fine, but entry is always at the discretion of the CBP officer. If they are satisfied your wife will return to India after the visit it should be no problem using the tourist visa. It is possible they admit her for a shorter period than 6 months - again, their discretion.
