I have Bachelor's & Master degree from USA University. My H1-B was approved on Oct 2006 through a consulting company. Currently I am working for fortune 100 company. My employer(consulting company) is asking if I want to file for Green Card. The only prior work experience I ever had in USA was doing an internship for 9 months during my undergrad.

i) I am wondering if my employer can file labor under EB2 category?
ii) Is prior work exp. a must(mandatory) to file labor?
iii) Can I use the internship + my current job exp. only?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes. Employer can file under EB2 category.

But looking at your experience, he can not ask for any experience in LC petition. Job will treated as entry level position and DOL may ask to conduct on-campus recruitment.

Also, internship during study is usually part time work and cannot be counted as experience.
