Can low income on W2 create problem ?

Hello Friends,
I have completed 6 yrs on H1b & applied for 3 years H1b extension (since i have approved I-140) in second week of May06.
Now i am planning to go to India but my employer says i should wait for H1b approval & get visa stamping done from Mexico or Canada because on W2 my income is around 32K for last year which may create problem if i go to india for stamping.
Please let me know if anybody has faced problems in getting stamping because of low income on W2.

Yes, I can create a problem, if they ask to show your W2. It is one of the most commonly asked document in consulate so take a legal advice before doing anything.

Wondering if anyone in reality experienced difficulty due to low income on w2 or tax return ?
 
Guys please let me know if anybody faced problems while visa stamping because of low income on W2 & if giving vacation as a reson an acceptable answer.
