can kids under 16 get EAD?

Yes they can. My son got his EAD when he was 6 years old. Infact we were not thinking of applying for one. Our lawyer asked us to for getting his SSN.

One need 14 years of age to apply for EAD.
My son got 2EAD recently and we are waiting
for my daughter to attain 14 yrs next month
to apply.

I am sorry to differ. My son is 6 yrs old. He has a EAD card and today I have applied for his renewal too.
 
Yes, mdu123 you may be right. But our lawyer did not
suggest for my daughter who was below 14 at the time of filing
I-485. May be because she can not work.
Any way only few days left for my daughter and more over
we are moving, we will apply later.
