Can IO Convert 3 years requirement to 5 years

Hi All,

I am going for Citizenship interview on Monday, I applied based on 3 years requirement, but due to background check and all the application was delayed by 2 years. Now ie from last 1 year me and my wife are living separately,we were together for 6 years and I have all the proofs and I intend to tell IO about it, is there a chance the IO can convert the 3 years requirement to 5 years at the time of interview as I crossed my 5 years eligibility.
If you know of any case of conversion from 3 to 5 years please let me know, it will be very helpful for me during the interview.

In this case what would be the best scenario, 1. Request IO to withdraw my application as we are not living together.
2, Cancel the application
3. Convert 3 to 5 years requirement.

Please advice.
 
They can convert it like that only if you already met the requirements of the 5 year rule back when you applied. You'll need to withdraw and reapply.

Are you legally separated or are you living apart due to unforeseen circumstances? If it's due to a legal separation, you'll need to withdraw your current application and reapply unless you met the requirements of 5 year rule when you applied.
