I'm transfering from company A to B and they've already filed the application for me. My job starts on August 22 and if I don't get an approval before that, can I still start working there while the application is in works?

You can start working in your company once you get the receipt of your H1 transfer application from USCIS.
You do not have to wait for your original approval notice.
For non premium applications, receipt from USCIS takes 2-3 weeks. What if the employer says its ok to join and resign from previous job? will that be ok to do? coz my new employer needs me urgently. Please advise.
