My H1b is finally expiring in 8 months and still LC is going on. I am planning to go on a leave of absence (without pay) for 6 months outside of US and then come back and capture the 6 months after that. My question is, during this time period that I am on a Leave of Absence from my current employer, can I work for another employer outside of US ? or do some independent contracting work in another country ?
