Can I visit INS in person to check my current status of my I-485?

I am tired of dialing to the always-busy (949)XXX-XXXX, has anyone visited INS in person to check the case status or change the address? I am thinking of driving to Laguna to talk to them in person. Please tell me your experience if you had done that before. And also, could anyone tell me where the INS located at Laguna? Thanks.

you should be able to that pretty easily. I\'ve done that several times
Immigration information officers(IIO) will give the information you need in person. for the CSC location in Laguna Niguel, go to the INS website. good luck

I went to Santa Ana in person and it is pretty simple there. go there with your receipts.
