Can i visit India?-Please help

Hi,

I am working currently on H1-visa and my husband will be applying for 485 from his company next week. We had plans of going to india during the 3rd week of december. Can we go to india without getting the receipt?. I need to get my visa stamped(from H4-h1) and i was planning to get it done in india. Is this possible or do i have to wait? If so how long?

No Problems

Shouldn\'t be any problems travelling if you don\'t have the receipt. I would, however, suggest that you get the courier receipt stating the INS got the I-485 application on a particular date, and ensure you have the necessary proof that you were in the US on the date it was received. You don\'t need it for re-entry, but it\'s cheap $1 insurance in case you are ever RFEd.

So,this shouldn\'t cause a problem to get my H1 -b visa stamped(from H4) in india?
