I am all set to file my N400 application this weekend.
I may have to travel out of the country on personal trip. I may have to stay there for about 3 months.

Somebody advised me that I cannot travel while my appliction is filed.

I am prepared to coem back to USA for FP and go back if needed.

But just checking will there me any issue or complications if I travel out of USA and stay out of USA for 3 months when my N400 si with USCIS?

Please help.

Thanks

You are absolutely allowed to travel during N400.
You need to make sure not to end up on the wrong side of residency calculations because of this travel.
And you need to make sure your mail is being collected so that you can respond / travel in time for such appointments.
Otherwise, no issue.

I recommend registering for text and email updates so you know when your application status chages and when letters are sent to you. Also keep in mind that all conditions of obtaining naturalization have to be maintained until efter the oath, filinf an N400 does not exempt you from any of it. In fact, you may be asked about them on the interview and the oath letter asks about the status of those conditions since your interview.
