can I travel using AP But visa is expired on the passport

I and mywife could like to travel to India, my wife have valid visa but not stamped on the passport. that\'s why I applied Advance payrole. can we travel with AP and without valid visa on the passport. I came to know some airlines(lufthansa)people asking valid visa stamped on the passport. please give me the reply asap
 
AP is for such situations...

Just make some copies of the photo page of AP and give it to the airlines. Lufthansa knows about AP...
