Can I travel to Puerto Rico while waiting for the interview?

Hey people,
Did anyone travel or knows about someone who traveled to Puerto Rico while his/hers asylum case was pending? I have a valid state ID (driver's license) that I use to travel to different states in the US. I know PR considered to be a commonwealth of United States, does it mean that I can go there without passport just with my driver's license?
 
Yes you can go there as it's a domestic flight. There are very rare spot checks by CBP, so have your papers with you just in case you are hassled.
