Can I travel remain ouside the USA for 20 months if I have reentry permit?

I got my green card in 2009 entered the USA and left after 2 weeks.
in December 2010 I applied for reentry permit and I received it in March 2011
If I did not visit the USA till August 2012 , ( about 20 months), will be there any problem?
I read that the reentry permit does not guarantee acceptance of admittance at port of entry?
Any feedback from people who already returned to USA with reentry permit would be highly appreciated.

Well, the more ties to the US you have, the better the chance of being re-admitted. You have shown intent to retain US residency by applying for and having the REP, but the more proof you have of a house, car, bank account, family, the better. You might not even be questioned. Just be prepared.
