Can i travel out of country with previous company H1 Visa

I am having a visa till April 2006. But i moved to a new company. i am having the approved 797 of the new company. Now i am planning to go to India. Is there any problem, if go with the old company visa? Or is it better to go for stamping to Maxico or Canada, before going to India.
 
Visa stamp is only for entering the US, and as long as it's valid, you can use it for reentry to the US. YOu need to show your approval notice with new employer as well as valid visa stamp(with old employer) at POE.
