Can I study full time with EAD?

Hi, I'm wondering if I can go to school full time now that I have the EAD. My I-140 was approved mid '03, still waiting (for ever) for approval of 485 (filed jan '03).

Are there any options if not? E.g. study full time and work part time.

Does the EAD allow me to work in anything that I want? (I've had it for > 6 months).

Thanks,

- B

You don't need an EAD to *not* work.

You can do whatever you want, but if you are the primary applicant in an EB-485 adjustment you are restricted in the line of work you can do when the adjustment is ajudicated.

What is status of my I-485 if I stop working

This is my story:

I'm currently on employment based application for GC.

Currently I'm:
waiting for approval of I-485
Have EAD and I-131
No H1B anymore

Given this, if I go to study full time... will my I-485 be at risk of being denied?
Or do I have to continue working full time until I get the GC?

This is becoming reaaaally annoying with the delays at our friendly CIS offices :(

Thanks,

- B

bob,
If you are a primary applicant on your 485 then you can't go to the school full time.

you have to work full time.

hope this helps

You can go to school full time and not work provided you dont get a RFE or an interview while your 485 is pending. Risky. But you can go to school fulltime and work full time too, nothing wrong with that.
