Can I still get green card working from India for a US-based company?

Presently I'm working for a US-based company that sponsored for my green card. 180 days have passed since my I-485 receipt date. I have found a job in another US-based company where my job description is exactly the same as the present one. However, starting middle of next year the new job would involve working from India. Will that jeopardize my green card processing in any way? What will happen if I get an RFE? Should I stick to a US-based job only? Can I still get my green card with an Indian address?

You need to maintain a US address, so that you can use AP to travel outside US and can walk into US after 485 approval and get 485 stamped in the passport.
If your transfer to India is temporary and you are confident of your company's sincerity, you can convert your process to CP (thru AC140)

thanks

thanks for the response, I appreciate it. Yeah the company's prospects are good and trust them so far.

one more question

I have one more question:
What will happen if I get an RFE while I am in India. Would'nt they ask for my recent paychecks. If I am drwaing Indian salary at that time (however working temporarily for a US-based company - i.e. while I would be in US they will pay me a US salary), how should the response be?
