can I sponsor illigal immigrant?

Can my company hire an illegal immigrant under the PERM program? I recently found sombody perfect for admin position in my construction company(the position will become vacant in may next year). The only problem is she overstayed her visitor visa. What are the chances of her getting a green card under this program?

Legal reasons aside, if you did indeed want someone to come in under an EB based greencard, the position you describe would be EB3. However EB3 is retrogressed worldwide back to 2001. So if you can wait about 4-5 years to fill your admin position, go ahead and do the filing (GC is not cheap - after paying about $5-7k in legal fees you might get your admin).

Dear GC_2006,

You had mentioned that you joined a new job in July and in October you applied for LC and approved in Dec. After joining, how did they applied so fast? Did you do all the advertisement stuffs before applying? What all you did?

No, they started recruitment middle of July. It took us 2 1/2 months until we filed (actually ebd of September).
