Can I sponsor for my in-law?

I am working in US in H1-B and my wife is on H4. We want to invite my wife's mom to US. My wife cannot sponsor since she is not working. Can I sponsor for her parent and can I give I-134 for my wife's parent?

The interview date is approaching . Please help
 
B-2 visas do not need any sponsor. They are self-sponsored visas. However if you want to send an I-134 for warm fuzzies, you can send one.

can I give invitation letter to my wife's mother?

I am going to sponsor for my wife's mother (since my wife is on H4). In this case, can I give her the invitation letter, or should the invitation letter be still from my wife?
Your advice will be appreciated.
 
Invitations are not needed for a B-2 visa either. However, if you want to, you may send her an invitation.
