Can I specify H1B intended start date?

Quick question here: :confused:

Can I specify an intended H1 start date on my application? My OPT does not expire till 12/31/05 so I would like to have my H-1's start date as 01/01/06.

I know it can be done on the regular H1B application, but would like to make sure it applies to the application for those 20,000 US Master Degree applicants as well...
