Can I revalidate my H1B1 inside the US

Hi,
I am new to these forums and am looking for some advice / direction. My H1B1 expired in Dec 2002 and my company got the I-797 issued for the extension subsequently. My question is can I get my visa stamped inside the US or do I have to travel outside the country to Canada, India or Mexico?
I have already read the FAQ sections but wanted to get some first hand data from folks who might have facsed this issue.

Depends upon ur Emergency

If you send for revalidation in US . Now a days it takes more than 3 months to get back your passport and visa back. If you have any plan to out of US for any vocation. Do it ur country. Otherwise apply in US ( St.Louis )

But It will take min 3 months - max 4 months

Thanks Raj. I will probably send it to St. Louis since I am not planning on going outside the US in the next 6 months and keep my fingers crossed.
