Hi,
I am a H1-b holder and I have written a software program. Now, someone wants to sell that software and agrees to pay me certain percentage of the sale price as the intellectual right.
My question is, is it legal for me to accept that payment? My understanding is that I could only work for my current employer and could only receive passive income beside that. I am not sure whether intellectual property right income counts as that.
Thanks.
