Can I quit employer

Please advise ...
My gc got approved couple of months back. To be honest, I'm not happy to stick with my current employer who is a small desi body shop. I want to know what implications I would face if I leave the company now. It's only been 2 months since my case was approved. I have been with my current employer for the last 5 years. I'm thinking of consulting murthy or rahul to seek some legal advise. If any of you can think of any implications, I would appreciate if you could please let me know. I know there are few forums which have discussed this situations and my understanding is GC could be revoked if I quit right after getting approved as I did not demonstrate intent to work.

Yes if they want to they can revoke it if you quit. From my knowledge 6 months is okay and 1 year is perfect. But there is no written rule anywhere how many days you need to stick with sponsored employer. 6m-1 year is a general practice. If I were you I'll definitley talk to an attorney.

People who are in good terms with sponsored firm quit much before one year. Usually decent firms
won't revoke it. But you know what DESI attitude is :)

AC21 provides directive on leaving the employer 180 days after file 485, but there is no law which gives guidance after approval. Never heard a case where leaving the employer too soon caused any problem.

response from my lawyer

I once talked to lawyer about this possibility and he told me that there is no such a thing as waiting 6 months or so after receiving the Green Card. In other words, once you get it, you are free.
