Can I legally stay here in the US till the date on I94?

I plan to move to Canada sometime in mid-Jan. My h1b visa expires on Jan 17th while my I94 is dated Jan 27th (10 days grace). Does that mean I can only work till Jan 17th and stay in the US till Jan 27th. I need to know this in order to draw my plans on leaving the country. Please reply and appreciate all the replies.

If you complete 6 year on Jan 27 then you have to leave US.

If you have LC filed for you by ANY employer AND it is pending more than 365 days you can file and can get 7th year H1 extension and 7th year H1 extension should be filed before I-94 expiry date and with evidence of pending LC.
