Hi
I have an interview scheduled for CP at chennai at the end of Sept....but thats towards the end of my vacation and my manager wants me back on my project ASAP..
I was wondering if I can go for an interview before the scheduled date....if someone has done this, please share your experience

You can try... I have heard of one person do it, but only by a day or two.

Not really good advice for someone now in the US. In Montreal, they won't even let you in the building if your are more than an *hour* early. Maybe you can contact the consulate and delay the interview to a more approriate time.

YES You can

I had my interview scheduled for 26th August at Mumbai Consulate.
I was going to be in Mumbai during the 1st & 2nd week of August and requested the consulate to give me an earlier date, they agreed and gave me an interview date of 7th August.
I just returned to the US (POE Boston) on 15th August with an approved GC.
Send a mail to the Chennai consulate and request an earlier date, if its within a reasonable limit, they might accept.
There's no harm trying.

What could be reasonable. Within same month? or can this be even early?

Re: Re: YES You can

Might be earlier in the month if you have a date later in the month like my case. I'm not sure if they'll move you from one month to another, they have fixed number of visa per month.

What is the reason you specified? Should that be any hardship related?
