Can i get passport stamp without infopass?

Can I just walk in an INS office and get stamped?

I don't want to go through infopass as it will cost me thousands of dollars to delay my trip. That's right, I haven't got the approval notice yet.
 
Rightnow, I don't think they are allowed without INfopass.

I did with Infopass....

Try, if they allowed you are good.

I was just online playing with InfoPass, and selected option 5 - "You have received an approval letter or Form I-797C from the Service Center or local office instructing you to come into the office for alien identification card processing / passport stamp."

After "Continue", it says "At this time, there are no information appointments available for the office in your area. Please try back again later."

Is this normal? Do you guys all have to keep coming back and try your luck?
 
You can try without the infopass also. Be prepared to wait for a long time. Try going early in the morning.
 
It depends from area to area. If you are located in a small town (less load) you don't need the appointment but it might take couple of hours. Its better to have appointment to save time, like it takes only 15 min.

If you are not successful in getting the appointment, try any other computer.

This infopass is per family, right? i don't need to book Infopass for every individual in my family, correct?
 
One appointment per family

I just make one appointment for my family.

Actually it is impossible to make individual appointment for each family member
