hello guys, i will appreciate if you can help me to figure this out.

currently (on B1/B2 visa) i am in the US, but will be leaving the country by the end of January, and planning to come back in June already on H1B visa. I just wonna know can the fact that i will be in my country affect my chances of getting H1B visa from local consulate/embassy? or it is better to stay in the US until june so my B1/B2 will convert to H1B?

thanks

As long as you have a proper employer and credentials, obtaining H1B stamping in home country is not an issue. A big issue is overstaying an I-94.

Go out of US before your I-94 gets expired.
Let the US employer file H1 for you. once you get H1 approval notice then go for H1 Visa stamp from US consulate or embassy. If the US employer has job for you then enter US on H1 status.
