There are many lawyers out there who will promise the sun and the moon for a fixed fee. Then you pay $1000, $2000 or whatever and a few weeks later the lawyer is either out of business or tells you the law has changed. No lawyer will ever tell you anything with certainty. They should give you a list of options available to you and tell you honestly what the possible outcomes are. Any lawyer that **promises** anything is a lawyer you should walk away from. This goes for any area of the law, not just immigration.

Eddie_d, his lawyer told him he can't get a green card. Sounds like an honest lawyer to me!

What OP said: he tell me just if she support me, thats mean i dont have to work, i can get my green card..

I understood that to mean he was told by the lawyer that if his wife supports him he can get a green card.

With English that poor, who knows what the lawyer said or if he even understood it.

Is this a fake message?
eLoko ....your "writting" is not of a person whose english is not good, but of someone who wants to fake it. You've used many words that are spelled correctly....but you've forced the sentences to sound wrong.
I speak spanish, and if you crossed the border I assume u r from mexico, and spanish speaking people can't spell the double L's (illegal, really, tell), double P's (support), and words like "lawyer", and "subcontractor" correctly when we are beginning to learn english.

Anyways...good luck with the case :D
