can I get FP notice if I walk into SJ INS office?

Is the following true nowadays? Can I get a fp notice
if I walk into SJ INS office? If so, everybody can do that ,
right? What am I missing?I am desperately waiting for my
FP notice so I can confirm my much needed vacation plans..
ND is Aug 16 , RD is June 11. No ead, no fp so far!!!

and I gave my A# and my wife\'s A# then he just printed out temp
FP notice and we went to Finger print service center at the same day.
But this is 1 year ago story though.

it\'s OK at Santa Ana.

i got a temp one last Thu. no problem at all. but the thing is, my mom got her fp notice and i didn\'t thru post mail. so i got one at INS.
