Today,I go to the interview at 8 am (taipei time) and finish my interview ! Before the interview,I'm very worry that the previous denial of B2 visa will affect my DV interview. But,fortunately the consular officer do not ask me about that ! She only ask me about my education,my working experiences and job offer from USA.She see the bankstatement for a while and ask me what I will do when I arrive to USA ? I said that I will work and study. She then asked me why I would like to go to USA ? I said I like USA very much and she smile. Finally, she tell me to submit the original high school diploma in burmese to her as soon as possible. She give me back my passport.I ask her that I'm qualify or not ? She say she can't answer this question now.

I left the embassy and don't know that I should happy or not ???

I'm working at the hotel as the restaurant captain ! I only have high school diploma ! Can I get immigrant visa ?

requirment for dv lottery is High School diploma, and they ask that, so u dont have to worry.

Seems to be ok

David,

From your case, it seems to be ok for me. I think they will grant you a visa soon after you sumbit the pending document they are looking for. My case is quite troublesome and so much more complicated than you but I eventually make it successful. Comparing to me, your case is kinda easy. All you need is just to provide a Burmese High school transcript and that's it.

If your case is a flaw, they will reject it right away or ask for more prove. From the question, the consular just wants to make sure you met the school level as required in the program. So, go back to get it ASAP and submit it.

The faster you submit it, the better it is for you. From July - Sep, the number will go very fast. Just be quick to fill in the current available slot!!!

Thank you ! I hope so !!!
Luckily,I receive my original burmese high school diploma today. My relative sent it to me some days ago. So,I will go to the embassy the day after tomorrow because the immigrant visa section of the embassy only open on monday, wednesday and friday !

Oh ! Seems like she is confused that my burmese high school diploma is equilavent to 12 years of US high school education ! The consular said she will check about that ! I hope there is no problem !

First, she's confused about whether the Burmese degree is equivalent to a US high school education or not. Second, she wants to see your original certificate written in Burmese.

If these two factors turn out in your favour, you'll get it.

Thanks god !!!!! :D:D:D

Today,I submit my original high school diploma in burmese language to the US consular officer and she approved my immigrant visa ! I'm so happy now !!! :D:D:D:D:D

I will get my immigrant visa together with my passport in a few days ! Ha...Ha... :D:

I'm now planning to go to USA next month !

I want to say " Thank you very much " to the United States government to give me a chance to immigrate to USA ! I really appreciate this !!!

I also want to say " Thank you very much " to all of the people here in this forum who gave me advices !

God bless America !!!

Next step for me is to live, work and study in USA as the permanent resident and apply for the US citizenship after I live in USA for 5 years ! I want to take my mother to USA in near future when I get US citizenship !!!

Today,I write the resignation letter and submit it to my manager ! She know that I will immigrate to USA.She said " Congratulations " and " Good luck " to me.

David,

Glad you finally make it. Like it said your case is much less complicated, so just showing the prove of your native transcript and that is it. Good luck on your coming to America man. I've known your name since last year when I also found myself to be a 2009 selectee. I am glad you did it just like me a month before. Now heading to America, don't forget to post and share your past experience after getting there. :)

Hello David,
Congratulation!
Thank for your interview experience.
Anyway , Did consular request you I-134 or I-864?

I don't need to show I-134 or I-864 ! I show my apartment as the fixed asset, bank statement(about 10000US$) and job offer from USA to the consular officer ! If you have a sponsor from USA,it's very good for you ! I think if you don't have sponsor or job offer from USA,you should show enough money in your bank account !

Hello David, congratulation and good luck! I hope be the next one to win the DV-2010. There is only few days to check my confirmation number at Dv lottery web site. :)
