Can I get a legal marriage before going to take an interview?

Respected Madam or Sir,

I am glad to know you!
I have a question to ask you!
Could you help me a question?
You know if I just received a form packets( family relation children under 21) from the USA to Cambodia already and get ready to go to get Interview.
Now I am 21 years, and now I want to get married before going to get the interview.
Could I get the legal marriage during this process?
How about the interview, the embassy will agree or not?

You can, but you should tell the information to the NVC about your changed status.

Your sponsor is a permanent resident or a US citizen? If your sponsor is a LPR that person can't apply for married children and you would loose your opportunity to get the residency. If your sponsor is a US citizen and you are in the F1 category you will be in the F3 if you married before the interview.
