Can I file my GC through my Employer as well as my father(GC Holder)?

Hello everyone

My whole family got GC except me because i was over 21 years. Now i m on h1 here. If i apply for my GC through my father then it would take (around 9 years If Petitioner is LPR and 6 yrs if petitioner is citizen) 9 years because at present he is GC holder but he would be citzen after next 4 years. So I was wondering that if i apply now for GC through my father and once he become citizen, whether i could switch to F1 from F2b with same priority date or not.

And secondly i can also file for my GC through my employer, i dont know exactly how much time it would take.

So my question is can i apply through both of them or not and if not Pls suggest me the best possible option to go for.

If any one experienced this before i would really appreciate for sharing ur nice experience with me.

Yes, there is no problem having I-140 (work based) and I-130 (family based) petitions in at the same time.

yes, the priority date will stay the same
 
What is the procedure to file immigration through my father?

First of all thanks to all who replied me back and I really appreciate it.

Please tell me the whole procedure to file immigration through my father, mean from starting till end as I m not familier with all the forms which are supposed to be filled.Or send me any link to it.

Hi:

If you're not familiar with the forms, become familiar with them. Go to uscis.gov, read up on which forms you need, print them, read them carefully etc. Why should people here spoonfeed you? I suggest that you get yourself together, because if I were your employer and you told me you couldn't even do some basic research, I would wonder whether to retain you.
