Can I File AOS simultaneously through 2 ways

Hi,
My husband applied for his AOS in June of 2002 and has received his EAD card, advance parole and fingerprinting done.
Meanwhile, I have my approved I-140 from my company.
My question:
1. Since we got married only 1 month back, can I apply for AOS as his dependant this late in the game
2. If I can, will it take me same time when applying as his dependant as it will take if I applied independently. I am hoping to be able to save close to 8 months if I go through my husband. Is this true or will my application be treated as a different case
3. Can I apply for AOS through both my husband (as his dependant) and from my company

1. Yes
2. superficially yes. However you have to understand that 140 is the immigrant visa approval and 485 is subsitute for visa stamp. So you cannot start another 485. However better option (both for you and spouse) is to opt for Consular processing for one of the applications (yours?)
