Can I File AC21

Hello,

Can someone help me here? My priority date is Oct 2001 (EB3). I had filed I485 in March 2005 at VSC. Right now I am in Virginia and on 2nd EAD. Can I change job and move to California by filing AC21? Will it cause any problem with change of service centers? Thanks for your time.

Yes you can file for AC21 as long as the new job description is the same or similar, your I-140 is approved and your I-485 is pending for more than 6 months.

A friend of mine had a similar experience (moved from NY to CA) and the case was transfered from the VSC to a regional office. So, expect some additional delays.
 
Thanks very much for the information, moved01. One other question, what do I need to do to get the application moved from VSC to regional office. Do I call the sevice center or just filing AC21 will take care of that?
 
I don't know what you need to do. File the AC21 and the address change and wait?? Because if the VSC wants to process it, all the better.
