Can I file 485 at VSC ?

Hello all,

I am about to file my I-485. Got my I-140 approved from VSC. At present, I am working in California and my employer is based in Boston. Can some body please tell me whether it is going to be a problem if I file my 485 at VSC ?

It should be OK

The relationship of petition and filing service center is dependent on the location of the company that is filing the petition and not the location where the petition beneficiary is working.
This was the explanation given by the lawyer representing my company.

I am pretty sure that you have to file to VSC. Check I140 approval notice, it should say where you should file.
 
Have you all noticed that there is a note on I-485 document where it said

where to file: it points to residence. Dose it make any sense?
