Can I enter US with my previous employers H1B Stamp.

Hi Friends,

I am in big dilemma. I need your help and guidance.

I got my H1b visa stamped from India with Company A in April 2004. I worked in US for three months and I left to India in July 2004 (I got pay stubs for 3 months). H1b visa stamp is still valid until Feb 2007. Right now I am in India.

Recently I applied for new H1b with company B and I got a new approval notice. New approval notice got I-94 attached to it.

My questions are :

1) Is it necessary to get new H1b stamp with the new approval notice ?

2) Is it OK if I enter US with my Company A visa stamp and showing Company B's approval notice at the port of Entry.


Guys I need you help. My visa interview date at Chennai consulate is fast approaching. Please suggest me whether to attend for interveiw or not.

2) Yes.

but I wonder why you got I94 attached though it was filed while you are out of the US.

New approval notice has I-94 attached to it eventhough new H1 was appllied when I am in India. Is it something wrong with INS or else it happens with
everybody ?.(i.e, Persons who applies for new H1 when the old H1 is still valid irrespective of their presence in US)
