Can i do L2 to --> H1 ? Can my current employer do my Greencard processing ?

Hi All,

Have few questions on my L2 visa status.

I am on L2 with ,also got EAD (Valid till Jan/2010), I am also starting to work for a Company A.

Also my husbands L1 is valid till 2010 , but his project is ending in May 2008, so my questions are as follows

1. Can I work here for another few months, even though my husband leaves to India or my L2 and EAD both also gets invalid?
2. Can I ask my Company A to sponsor my H1 ?
3. Is it possible to get my green card processed from Company A.?
4. Myself and my husband are also planning to get our H1 done from Company B and C respectively
a. If I get my H1 can I work for Company A again ?
5. From the forums I came to know that we can get out L2 --> H1 and L1--> H1 stamped in Mexico , is it right ?
6. If we don’t have the H1 , does our existing L1/L2 will be cancelled.

What options do you suggest ?


Too many questions , too little time , as we need to start the H1 processing work soon.

4. If A sponsors your H1, yes you can.
5. Yes, but not 100% to get stamp there.
