Can I do FP before the date mentioned on the FP notice?

Yes you can. Applicants are doing it (though I don\'t like that idea since if your 485 takes longer then FP will expire casuing FP redo and hence longer 485 wait)

I did my FP yesterday, 4 weeks before the scheduled date. I travelled to local office to get my EAD yesterday and brought my FP with me. Since it is a 2 hour trip, I asked officer if I could do FP also. They let me do it. It takes 6 days to get to FBI ( I did not do the electronice one).
Dont know if this will expedite my 485 approve process by 4 weeks. Anyone shed some light?
